Farm Mission: 

At Huguenot Street Farm, our mission is to produce high quality vegetables by using growing practices that focus on the health of our soil and our environment.

Job Description: 

As part of the crew at Huguenot Street Farm, you will work in all aspects of vegetable production, gaining hands-on experience in small-scale agriculture. Job duties include but are not limited to: 

• Seeding, planting, harvesting and washing vegetables

• Carrying crates of vegetables from the field 

• Set-up and break-down of row cover and landscape fabric 

• Weeding by hand and with tools

No prior farming experience is required. We will teach you! Please note: this is a physically demanding job.

Job Requirements: 

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground to head height

• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds up to 300 feet 

• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions

• Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time

• Reliable means of transportation to work 

• Ability to use hand tools such as hammers, harvest knives, clippers, trowels and shovels 

• Attention to detail

• Ability to take direction

• Ability to work with others and on own 

• Willingness to be flexible with job duties 

Other Preferred Skills: 

• Experience working on a farm or in related field such as landscaping, gardening, or other outdoor work

Schedule: 

Seasonal work: beginning of April- early November

• Full-time: 40 hours/week 

  • Hours: M-F, 8AM-5PM

• Part-time 16-24 hours/week (2-3 days per week)

​​Compensation: 

• $15.50-$17/ hour depending on experience 

• Full share CSA for duration of employment
